Account & Data Deletion

Delete your LoadOut account and data

Last updated: 2026-07-25

This page explains how to delete your account and associated data for LoadOut: Precision Reloading (the “LoadOut” app), published by Johnson Digital Systems.

Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. Your loads, firearms, batches, brass logs, and ballistic profiles are stored on your device, and once erased they cannot be recovered by us — we never had a copy. If you want to keep your data, export it first from Import & Export before you delete.

How to request deletion — in the app

Deletion is self-service and takes effect immediately. You do not need to contact us.

  1. Open LoadOut on your device.
  2. Open the navigation drawer and tap Settings.
  3. Tap Privacy & Data.
  4. Tap Delete My Account & All Data.
  5. Confirm when prompted. If you signed in with Google, Apple, or Microsoft, you will be asked to re-authenticate first. Nothing is deleted until that step succeeds, so a cancelled or failed sign-in leaves your data intact.

If you no longer have the app installed

If you have uninstalled LoadOut, lost the device, or cannot complete the in-app flow, email support@johnsondigitalsystems.com from the email address tied to your sign-in provider, with the subject Account deletion request. We will verify that the request comes from the account holder and delete the account record. We will respond within the window required by your jurisdiction, and in any case within 30 days.

Note that data stored only on a device we cannot reach — for example a phone you no longer have — is removed by uninstalling the app or resetting that device. We cannot reach it either.

What is deleted

What is kept, and for how long

A small amount of data is retained after deletion, either because another company holds it or because law requires it. None of it contains your reloading data.

One thing only you can delete

LoadOut deletes the encrypted backup files it created in your cloud storage as part of the deletion flow. But if you had already disconnected a cloud provider, revoked LoadOut's access to it, or if the app cannot authenticate to that provider at the moment you delete, the encrypted file may remain in your own storage. We have no way to see or reach it after that point.

To be certain, check your iCloud Drive, Google Drive, or OneDrive for the LoadOut app folder and delete any remaining encrypted backup file yourself. The file is unreadable without your passphrase, which we never had.

Deleting only the data on this device

If you want to clear this device but keep your account and cloud backup so you can restore later, use Settings → Privacy & Data → Reset This Device instead. That erases the local database while leaving your account, passphrases, and cloud backups intact.
